Welcome to CHIME!
CHIME (Citizens Highly Interested in Music Education) provides essential funding and volunteer efforts in support of music, drama and dance programs throughout the Piedmont school system. CHIME helps fund vocal and instrumental coaches and accompanists, supports musical instrument purchase and repair, provides teacher stipends, and funds grant requests in support of performing arts programs. CHIME is a key reason for the outstanding quality of performing arts programs in the Piedmont schools. Please support CHIME by becoming a member.
CHIME was started in 1968 and has been the key advocate in keeping music and drama in our schools. Most recently, we underwrote part of the cost to perform the musical Bye, Bye, Birdie at PHS, helped create and are underwriting the after school Band and Orchestra Clinics for minimum days at PMS, contributed towards the effort to take A Streetcar Named Desire to Edinburgh, invited CHIME members and the community to a lovely and educational evening of music with the Cypress String Quartet, and helped save the endangered 4th grade instrument rotation from being cut last year.

Instrument Donation:
Clean out those closets and recycle those gently used musical instruments! CHIME is collecting instruments that are no longer needed, but in good condition, to donate to the District’s music department. All donations are tax-deductible.
